First of all, congrats on taking the leap and booking your boudoir photography session! It's going to be fun, an amazing experience, and super empowering for you. Wardrobe is an essential part of your boudoir session. A huge part of the success of your session is using proper wardrobe that is not only beautiful, but that flatters your body. It doesn't have to be complicated. I am a believer in keeping it simple.

We want you: vulnerable, raw, and extremely beautiful. It may sound intimidating, but it's our job to empower you and provide you with a body-positive experience. It's about reconnecting you with you and showing you how you were born BEAUTIFUL!

Wearing the WRONG pieces can actually ruin images, whether it's because it doesn't fit, is a bad color, has a pattern that doesn't photograph well, or is simply not the best choice for your body type. Why wear jewelry when you normally don't wear any? Why hide behind a costume or a prop?

Some ideas for staple items you might want to bring to your session, but are not required:

• High heels that are in like-new condition. The higher the heel, the better. We do have nude and black heels in various sizes (7-10) in the client closet, but you are welcome to bring your own as well. Shoes are a great way to express your individuality!

• Bodysuit/teddy.

• Black High-waisted undies.

• Bra/undies/garter/stocking set (push up or well-fitted padded bra).

• Your favorite jewelry, just a few pieces are fine, probably your everyday pieces and a few special or statement pieces to go with your outfits.

• Fun accessories like fur coats, leather jackets, vests, thigh highs, fishnet tights, or anything clothing-related that brings out your personality.

• FISHNETS!! or thigh-highs or patterned tights. These make for a great add-on to an outfit, or a super sexy way to go nude (YAAASSS!!!)

• Something from your everyday wardrobe like an off-shoulder sweater, tee-shirt, button-up dress shirt, jeans or jean shorts, something "off the cuff" that you love that we can make super sexy.

• His favorite shirt or dress button-down.

Do NOT bring:

• Heavily worn, tattered, soiled, or scuffed items

• Items that do not fit (too big, too small).

Nails - If you are going to get your nails done, we recommend selecting either a French Manicure style or a neutral shade like nude. Black, white, red, pink and glitter are fine. Stay away from blues, greens, yellows, oranges, purples, and basically, all other eye-catching colors so they don't take over your images.

Summer Time or Vacation Tan Lines - Editing tan lines is very time-consuming and will incur an additional fee of $35/image (I can send your images out to a magician for an additional $35/image). Standard retouching will smooth tan lines but removing them completely will incur an additional fee.

How should I prepare? My best advice is to STRETCH, hydrate, and moisturize. Boudoir Sessions are equivalent to yoga class. The bendier you are, the easier this will be. Drinking lots of water helps make you more flexible too, and it's going to reduce bloating and clear up your skin. Get a zit or a bruise? Don't worry, that's why we use Photoshop! Moisturize your skin to keep it looking fresh and luminous.

What about grooming? If you need to get your hair touched up, your nails done, or have any hair removal services done, make sure you do it a few days prior to your session so everything has time to "settle" and you have a little wiggle room should things need to be fixed. I don't recommend trying new hairstyles or colors, getting new piercings or tattoos immediately before your session.

How should I dress the morning of? Please arrive in loose-fitting clothing that will not leave impressions on your skin. Avoid jeans, socks, and underwire bras. Feel free to wear Pj's, sweats, yoga pants, or leggings. Don't feel like you need to dress up for us! Most likely everyone here will be in leggings too :)

Our Address: The studio is located at 525 3rd Ave, #201A Longmont, CO 80501. We are located above Mystic Sisters (the door is between the 2 businesses in front of Main street) and next to Jefes Restaurant. Parking can be found behind the building in the Justice Center parking lot or across from Moes bagels down the street.

How do I access the building? Please text or call Lanett when you arrive at your scheduled appt time (at the front of the building - front door kept locked/secure 24/7) and she will come down and let you in. The building does have an elevator as well as stairs to our studio. No need to arrive early as I often have back-to-back appts and will not be able to accommodate early entry.

What is the timeline for the day?

10:00 a.m. - Arrive at the studio with clean dry hair, clean moisturized face and outfit options.

10 - 11:00(30) a.m. - Hair/makeup/lashes stylist appt

Sit back and enjoy a mimosa while you get your hair/makeup/lashes done (no need to bring your own we’ve got you covered"). Lanett will go through and discuss your outfit options. Please bring 2-4 outfit choices and anything you might love to be photographed in. “In the Sheets” or “Implied” or Nude available.

11:30 a.m. - 1:00 pm - Photography Session

Lanett will demonstrate each pose first then guide you through what to do with your body/hands/feet and facial expressions. These poses don’t feel very natural but Lanett will be there to guide and encourage you every step of the way!

Schedule reveal/ordering appt within 14 days of the photography session.

When do I get to see my images? You will return to the studio within 14 days after your session for your reveal/ordering appointment. Studio reveals are scheduled M-TH from 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm.

How does the Ordering Appointment work? Your Ordering Appointment is your time to view all of your gorgeousness and decide which images you will be purchasing! We pull all of your images up on the TV and go through them one at a time, we will show you some images in color and some in black & white. They are "rough drafts", so they have only been lightly edited. All of the professional retouching (skin smoothing, under-eye dark circles/bags correction, blemish removal and cellulite removal) is done on your images after we select which ones you are purchasing. Requests outside of standard professional retouching is available for an additional fee of $35/image for tan line correction, tattoo/scar removal. There are a variety of different print and digital options, and with your payment in full you will receive the prints and products in 4-6 weeks. Products can either be shipped to you or you can pick them up at the studio. Please let us know at the Ordering Appointment.

Payment options are: cash, credit, debit, PayPal credit, PayPal or pre/post-payment plans. We do NOT accept checks. There is no option to have an online gallery or a second Ordering Appointment. All sales are final. Once the Ordering Appointment is completed, no further changes can be made to your order. This is studio policy for all clients and no exceptions will be made. You may not change, alter, add, reduce, or request any other types of changes after the Ordering Appointment.
